Purple Russian

Original stock of this variety came from the Ukraine. Plum- shaped roma type fruits are 3-4" long and weigh 6 ounces. Great taste, sweet and meaty. Very productive, good cold tolerance. Means it will set fruit in lower than normal temps, not that it's frost tolerant. One of the best purplish-black tomatoes for markets since it does not crack or have bad shoulders. One of the things I really like is that they are always perfect fruit, never crack and have such a pretty color. Indeterminate, 80 days from transplant.
